The step-by-step system for teaching your child to read at home.
Foundations of Reading
Four short modules take you from your child's first sounds to real decoding, built by a linguist so nothing is guesswork.
Foundations of Reading is a self-paced course for parents of children aged 2 to 6. No teaching background needed. More than 20 short video lessons walk you through exactly what to say and do, with downloadable materials for each step, so you always know what comes next.

Module 1: Phonological Awareness
Before your child can read letters, they need to hear language differently. This module builds the listening skills that make every later step possible, hearing syllables, rhymes, and individual sounds inside words.
Module 2: Letter Sounds
Move from sounds to symbols. Your child learns to connect each letter to its sound, the actual foundation of reading, not letter names, which is where most home teaching goes wrong first.

Module 3: Blending
This is the moment sounds become words. Your child learns to push individual sounds together smoothly, the skill that turns "c-a-t" into "cat."
Module 4: Decoding
Real reading starts here. Your child applies everything learned so far to sound out unfamiliar words independently, the shift from practicing letters to actually reading.
